Institute of Design Education and Architectural Studies (IDEAS) had successfully conducted a Heritage Awareness Program at Buddha Vihar, Hariweda village near Nagpur on the 220 of June’2013. In continuation with the course work of the measured drawings of the Bahulivihir at Wedagaon, the students of the 5th semester organized the awareness program in which they displayed their sheets, gave a presentation on LCD, and enacted a ‘nukkad natak’ before the villagers. The student’s work was highly appreciated by all the dignitaries present and a worthwhile outcome of the event was to undertake the conservation of the bahuli vihir with the combined efforts of the Villagers of Wedagaon, A.S. I. and IDEAS College. Prof.Kirti Bhonsle and faculty Aditi Ghadge from IDEAS along with students of 5th semester Piyush Thawkar, Roshan Gaware, Tushar Dhamgaye, and Atul Zilpe helped in coordinating the event.
